And you know what it came down to? Shapes. An apple isn't an apple. Atleast not the apple you have generalized in your head. They say 'sketch that apple,' and what part of you is sketching THAT specific one of a kind apple may be a lot smaller than you think.
So this got me thinking, and holy cow! This concept is generalizable to every stinkin thing in the universe, which makes everything THAT MUCH MORE FASCINATING. Really, truly. Fruit, trees, flowers.. that crazy thing called life?! This may seem rather 'duh' however, to look at it with more application and less theory, it can really stir things up.
We all construct these paradigms for generalizing, categorizing, and synthesizing information, but when you break it down, every single thing, even that apple in the fruit bowl is entirely unique.
And how neat is that this is also applicable to real life?! That whole never take anything for granted. Enjoy each day in the moment. Every moment is different.
Okay, wayyyy too heavy for the blogosphere, but here's a 'for instance': two back to back nights in Door County. Same place, same time. Two 'sunsets'. And let me say, they couldn't have been any more different than they were.
Last evening:
Another path to pleasure. A 'typical' Door County sunset.
